Young adults hospitalized for a stroke are much more likely to be admitted for a recurrent stroke if they have cannabis use disorder (CUD), new observational research suggests. “Our analysis shows young marijuana users with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack remain at significantly high risk for future strokes,” said lead study author, Akhil Jain, MD, a resident physician at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pennsylvania.
